QuickAI Update
Agentic AI is taking centre stage in London right now. Holistic AI teamed up with University College London for the Great Agent Hack 2025, and they’re not just talking about governance—they’re getting their hands dirty. Hundreds of sharp minds are building agents designed to be autonomous but also explainable and safe. There’s a lot of “red-teaming” going on meaning they’re actively trying to break these agents or push them into weird corners to find their limits. If you’ve ever worried about rogue AI, this is the kind of pragmatic, high-stakes problem-solving the field needs.
Switching gears to the business side, Wisr AI Systems joined the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Future of Artificial Intelligence Council. It’s kind of a big deal—Canada’s tech scene always has to balance between nimble startups and legacy enterprise. So you’ve got SMBs and national leaders sitting at the same table hashing out how to make AI regulation smart and scalable. Canada opted for a principles-based approach, which in plain English means they’re prioritizing flexibility and interoperability, trying not to strangle innovation while still laying down some ground rules.
Globally, the India AI Impact Pre-Summit is moving the governance conversation well beyond Silicon Valley norms. The Global South’s voice is front-and-centre for once. These summits aren’t just window dressing—there’s actual multi-stakeholder engagement, with UN agencies, governments, and startups in the same room. If you’ve ever slogged through “harmonization” meetings, you know it’s messy, but there’s a real intent to build something that fits wildly different markets, not just copy-paste the EU model.
Let’s talk about customer success, because the old model is getting a radical update. Teams aren’t just glorified retention centres anymore. In SaaS, customer success now equals revenue. Companies are leaning hard into AI-powered health scores and expansion forecasting. I’ve found that when CS leads work side-by-side with product and sales, their impact on growth is huge. The shift to flatter org structures is real—CS teams are getting budget, not just leftover tasks. Data’s the key but it’s the business outcomes that land you a seat at the exec table.
Overall, the market’s vibrant, a little chaotic, and evolving fast—brave new world, but with a lot more nuance than headlines let on. Look for my article on the AI Bubble and how to plan for the pop or the expansion!
